Ongoing - Weekly "Show and Go" Road Group Rides
Why bicycle alone when you can ride with like-minded road enthusiasts? Meet at Earth Rider and we'll decide the direction, distance and pace depending on who shows up. All abilities welcome and no one will be dropped, but a road bike is recommended. This is a recreational ride, so we will not ride if it is raining or snowing or there is ice or snow on the ground.
Our current group ride schedule is currently on hold.

Sat., Apr 10 2010 - Tour of the Old World
Experience the beautiful back roads of Green County and a unique tour of Amish community businesses, including a bakery, bulk food shop, bent and dent groceries, and a furniture shop. This is our most popular route, featuring beautiful, quiet roads and relatively flat terrain. The longer loop ventures up to the historic town Evansville. Time 10:00 am, Distance: 25 miles or 50 miles, Pace: 12-14 mph, Route: Moderately Flat. Co-sponsored by Bombay Bicycle Club.

Sat. May 8, 2010 - Tour the Farms
Ride to five farms where there will be tours that provide a glimpse of how families make a living off the land. It's a world away from the city! The fourth annual farm tours are free and open to the public. Time: 9:30 am; - 4:30pm. Download a que sheet and do the route at your own speed spending as little or as much time as you want at each farm or join the group ride that leaves Earth Rider at 9:30am. Pace: 10-12 mph; Distance: 19 or 41 miles; Route: North loop to first three farms: 19 miles, moderately flat; South loop to Emu farm: 21 miles, hilly (recommended for experienced road cyclists). Co-sponsored by Bombay Bicycle Club.

Sat., Jun 26, 2010 - Night Time Trail Ride on the Badger Trail
| Experience a full moon with a leisurely ride on the Badger Trail to the spooky Stewart Tunnel. If you've never ridden the trail in a full moon, it is totally awesome. Meet at the Monticello Trail Head at Cty EE along the east edge of the village. Time: 7:30 pm; Pace: 10-12 mph; Distance 10 miles. Co-sponsored by the Bombay Bicycle Club and the Friends of the Badger Trail.

Sat., Jul 31, 2010 - Amish Quilt Auction
Take a tour of the old world at the annual Amish Quilt Auction. Besides a huge auction of hundreds of handmade quilts bid on Amish made furniture, collectables, and even horse implements. Bake sale and hand made ice cream made with a diesel engine featured. Bicycle there and back with pickup of your purchases by the Earth Rider van. Time: 8:00am; Pace 12-14 mph; Distance: 24 miles; Route: Moderate. Co-sponsored by the Bombay Bicycle Club.
Sun., Aug. 15 2010 - Heaven on Earth - A Visit to the Angel Museum
We'll bike to Beloit and tour the world's largest angel museum housed in a historic building with thousands of angels from The Berg Angel Collection and The Black Angel Collection donated by Oprah Winfrey. Admission fee. Visit

Sat., Oct 2, 2010 - Tour de Cheese
Bike to cheese factories in Green County with fully supported routes of 15-60 miles. Event starts in Monroe, Wisconsin and ends in downtown Monroe at Minhas Craft Brewery. Ride benefits Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Green County and Monroe Main Street. Cost $35 before Sept. 20, $40 afterwards and onsite. Save the date now.
Sat., Oct. 2, 2010 - Night time trail ride to the Haunted Mill
Experience the trail in a new light with a leisurely pre-halloween night group ride on the Badger and Jane Addams Trails to the
Haunted Mill in Orangeville. Lights are required, costumes optional.
Start: Twining Park, 2nd St. & 14th Ave., Monroe
Time: 5:00 pm
Distance: 20 miles round trip
For a shorter ride meet up in Clarno:
Start: Clarno Lumber parking lot, W5859 Cty Rd P
Time: 6:00 pm
Distance: 10 miles round trip
Cost: No charge for the ride itself, although a WI State Trail Pass is required. $10.00 per person for admission to the Haunted Mill. Tickets are sold at the Orangeville Fire Department and proceeds will benefit the Orangeville Volunteer Fire Department.
The event is sponsored by the Friends of the Badger Trail, the Jane Addams Trail Commission, the Orangeville Fire Department, and the Freeport Bicycle Club.
The haunted house contains high voltage effects, strobes, and high impact scares. Thrill seekers will embark from the fire station on a ghoulish adventure to the Haunted Mill, to experience seven levels of terror including:
- The High Voltage Room (two thumbs up and a toe!)
- The Morgue
- Choose your Fate Maze
- Lounge of Death
- The Casket Factory
- The Stairs of Scare
- New rooms this year!
