It is no secret why Wisconsin was ranked the second most bicycle friendly state in the United States by the Leaque of American Bicyclists in 2008. Green County, in the southern part of Wisconsion, is a paradise for cycling:

Brodhead, Wisconsin was founded 150 years ago by a railroad engineer after whom the town was named. Just as railroads were seen as an efficient means of transportation then, we've embraced the bicycle as a efficient means of transportation and recreation now.

- Enjoy the great outdoors - the fresh air, beautiful trees, and calm waters that you share with the random chipmunk or deer are not only free, but priceless.
- Go carless - sustaintable travel walking or biking allows you to experience intimancy with the environment. Explore at human speed and burn calories, not oil.
- Travel midweek - many lodging properties, including Earth Rider, offer discounts Mon. thru Thurs. and these allow you to experience all the amenities at a reduced price
- Stay close to home - a change of scenery is what you are looking for and you usually don't have to go far to experience this. If you live in an ubran area, go to the country and vice versa.
- Look for authentic and historic experiences - nearby small towns are less congested and more economical than large commercial destinations allowing you to maximize your vacation time and dollar and have new experiences that will expand your horizons and inspire you.

Events & Classes
Ride your bike with like minded individuals and make new friends or renew old friendships by joining our group rides, classes, and informative presentations. Events are scheduled throughout the riding season. New this year is the opportunity to add some learning in your active get-a-way with our classes on sculpture, digital photography, and cycling. Check out our list of events and make your plans to join us.
And if you don't have plans yet for the fourth of July, make plans to avoid the crowds by spending the weekend in Brodhead. Special events are planned to celebrate the 125th anniversary of the Brodhead Fire Department.
